An instrument for the determination of the apparent density of ceramic tiles according to the British standards B.S.I. and the international standards I.S.O.
Its functioning is based on the impregnation with water of ceramic tiles under vacuum so that all open pores are filled.
The machine consists of a stainless steel AISI 316 container with a stainless steel basket to hold the samples, a vacuum pump, a water pump for the recycle of the demineralized water used for the test, the relative filters and a control panel with an electronic control box with which it is possible to program the test to be carried out on the basis of the required standards.
