MILL WITH MICROBALLS

About This Project

MILL  WITH MICROBALLS

This mill offers an innovative solution for the preparation of silk-screen printing glazes that is completely different from the traditional milling systems used up to now.

It has been especially designed to overcome some of the problems that occur in commonly used mills, even in those of the same kind, namely:

-loss of material during the milling cycle.

-difficulty to handle particularly dense materials.

-high energy consumption, which depends on the high power installed. The machine offers all the advantages of a continuous glaze refiner that is both simple, from a techinical point of view, reliable and capable of granting ease of use and money-saving maintenance.

The machine is composed of a hopper for feeding the previously blended glaze to the underlying milling modules, to which the hopper itself is connected. Each module is composed of a ring-shaped chamber housing the microballs, which are set into motion by means of a rotor. A propeller is fitted at the top of each module that spins and thus draws out the glaze to push into the following modules. The machine features five milling modules, arranged the one above the other, for ensuring perfect milling and micronising with extremely low amounts of residue.
